“I recently asked Sebastian to paint my mothers parents standing in front of her family home, which was sold earlier this year. Every one of us has so many special memories in that home, and so I really wanted something that could remind us of those times.
The commission was a bit complicated as we could not find a picture of my grandparents outside the house, however Seb was able to merge two photos together in a way that made them look as if they were always one. Any little thing, such as a change in the colour of the front gates, was always accommodated. I really appreciate the time he took to get a sense of their character, which came through in the painting. My mother was delighted with the end product; it was the nicest gift I have given to anyone before and a really meaningful way to celebrate an occasion.
I would gladly recommend Sebastian to anyone I know looking for a commission or simply something to brighten up the walls at home. He is a true professional and very easy to deal with, you will be glad you reached out when the painting is in hand! Thanks so much Sebastian for capturing so many memories in one painting forever!”

I tried watercolour painting many years ago, and it was an absolute nightmare. The colours all ran all over the page and my paintings were massive muddy blobs. As a digital artist - I decided to stay inside the lines and stick to the safety of the undo button, watercolour certainly wasn’t for me - but I always admired it and I was always curious, so I attended Sebastian’s weekend workshop.
Apart from the cool studio setup, superb coffee, and dubious selection of tunes - I was there to learn, and I learned a lot! Sebastian has a knack for breaking down the most challenging compositions into simple shapes and colours. He makes complex subjects understandable, easy to digest. Seb is an amiable / easygoing chap, and a clear communicator - which makes learning easy. The workshop experience was fun, friendly, and casual, and it catered for all skill levels. I came away with some new skills myself, but more importantly - I came away with the confidence to pick up a brush again thanks to Sebastian’s insight into the world of watercolour.

Dear Seb, I’m so glad to have been at your watercolour workshop this weekend, I let go of my usual caution and happily applied paint mixed in lovely combinations of colours and varied wateriness. My pictures are an alchemy of your teaching, the randomness of watercolour and a developing knowledge on my part. Thank you for your patience and sense of humour too.
